Wrapping up my year at CSM in industrial design i am constantly reminded that i am finally doing what i love and what i have a passion for.
While other little boys would bug their moms for race cars or video games as a child i begged my mom to install a spiral stair case in our house. there was a ironworks scrap yard on the way to our childhood public pool that i would pester my mom and dad to stop at so i could walk about the heaps of rusting metal forms.
Another obsession i had as a little boy were Airstream trailers. i saw one being towed on the highway one time and could not get them out of my mind. our local uhaul dealer at one point rented out cheap knock off uhaul versions of airstreams and i made my mom pull in the lot so i could walk in and look at them. everything was so cool and compact. i fell in love instantly with these odd pill shaped campers.
for my first university degree choose finance b/c it was safe and i have illusions of working at the office by day and pursing design at leisure. while working at a local insurance corp i was totally miserable. now i feel i am finally on the right path.
